Civix Planners and Engineers recently obtained resource consent approval from Auckland Council on this challenging site in Massey. The site was bisected by a stream creating two separated building platforms. Steep gradients made bridging and access challenging. Working alongside Square Tomato Architects (www.squaretomato.co.nz), various design outcomes were tested, and inputs from specialist consultants mitigated potential effects. Key to the project was the Stream Mitigation Plan, providing a series of recommendations intended to restore this existing feature.
